For the average broker,,, what are the required USD $$ amounts to hold over the day's close for ES, NQ, and YM please.
No broker will allow less than the required minimums. Some (like IB) will require more than that. For broker minimums, check each broker's margin pages. For the exchange minimums, see a page like http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equ...aringCode=ES§or=EQUITY+INDEX&exchange=CME Add 10% to the number listed for the minimum. So for ES, it would be $6,105 per contract as the exchange minimum as a specerlator (sic).
thankx... I did get me broker on the line.. got my answer... it is about $6000 per contract right now.. up from about $5000 due to the recent volatility
