Politicians turned housing into a casino, where prices are now out of reach to most.
Housing has sapped money out of everyone, especially those lower down the ladder.
But politicians pretend theyre not responsible, you'll notice one very clear trait, their silence over the whole matter.
Politicians screwed up big time, but they keep quiet because they don't want to get involved, it hurts them personally to change the status quo.
They want people to believe builders are at fault, or global inflation not caused by them, or investors are at fault, or banks or Realestate agents, or pricey building materials, or local government or lack of land, ANYTHING but them”

Where does he mention parenting? Are you ok?

Yeah I'm fine, its those who have to buy smaller and smaller houses using more and more money, houses with no backyards, parents working long hours to pay off the enslavement, there's the problem imo. Parents under stress, marriages under stress, kids under stress.
Why? Because politicians want to make housing 'competitive', bringing in the investors who gummint will bankroll with tax incentives. Guess who wins? Not the little person, not the mum & dad.

Exactly, but many just don't get how economic factors impact societal issues.

@M.W. and I were discussing parenting issues so I assumed @themickey's post was about how the housing crisis was affecting parenting skills as well. I guess my bad.

But @themickey does also believe that parents today not able to teach children right is due to them not having enough time with the kids still so I was not too far off on my assumption.
