MsDawn, there is not an opinion that you have that you don't feel compelled to share. The problem is that you insist with this logorrhea in areas where you have zero expertise. You're a clown.

My goal, and it's been successful, was to stop loserrrrs from starting worthless "look at me!" threads with zero value add.

You can troll me all you like, but the value has been a cessation of worthless threads, for which I have been applauded in PM.

    Don't take it personally.

    “I met a devil woman
    She took my heart away
She said, I've had it comin' to me
But I wanted it that way
I think that any love is good lovin'
So I took what I could get, mmh
Ooh, ooh, she looked at me with big brown eyes.”

You call throwing out bunch of expletives, calling people names "human interaction online"? LOL Well you and I obviously have very different definitions of what's "baseline for human interaction online". LOL

LMFO!! You think reading some troll's garbage, spewing out some expletives is "having backbone"? You have no idea what it means by "having a backbone". What online trolls like your best friend does is juvenile child's play that's not worth an ounce of my time or energy to look at. I and along with majority of ET members have banished him/it to oblivion by putting him on "Ignore" and blocking him/it and oblivion is where he/it belongs. He/it would love it if I come out and play with him/it by replying to his/its posts and no, his/its request is denied. LOL

This is totally irrelevant to what we are talking about so I am not going to comment only to say belts or peddles did you no good, @Overnight. LOL Come join us, come to the light and leave your friend to the dark side! You can do this. He is no friend of yours; he's only using you. We are your real friends.

That generation where kids got the belt when they messed up and that is all they saw of their absent dad was equally fucked up. Produced a bunch of selfish and narcissistic individuals who never felt loved and in turn pour out very little or no compassion and empathy for others.

Things have certainly gone too far nowadays but if you draw a 200 MA then things long term are still going in the right direction.

Or pushovers with zero self-esteem or self-confidence and lives with Stockholm Syndrome all their lives.

The problem with today's parents today is that they don't parent; they become friends with the children and not the parents and that's why the children grow up without any concept of an authority figure or how to respect authority. Nobody says "no" to them and they just get whatever they want and when they can't get what they want, they'll just do whatever they can to get what they want. That's the problem that caused this lack of respect for authority not because corporal punishment is outlawed but because parents don't know how to parent their children anymore without using corporal punishment. Corporal punishment is not the only way and is not even the most effective way to establish the concept of authority in children but it's harder to establish the concept of authority and respect for it without resorting to using physical force and it takes lot more work.

I think there should be a parents' empowerment movement where parents are empowered, supported and trained to fulfill the role of the parents where they can have the god-given right to parent again, to tell the children before the children reach the age of majority what to do, to tell them what is wrong from what is right and to stop them from doing what's wrong and encourage them to do what is right and all the children should do is say "yes father" or "yes mother" and then do it, right away. They can ask questions and they can talk to the parents but it's the parents who have the last word to override the children not the other way around. And it should start with the proper addressing of parents by the children, none of this calling the parents by their first name. Children are to address their parents as "father" or "mother" respectively.

I believe this is urgently needed unless you want to have a lawless society.

This is the tragic consequence of broken families, single family homes, and homes without ONE dad and ONE mom. Speaking of averages of course. There is shit going on in some families with mom and dad and there are a few kids growing up with two trans parents who do everything right. But the average clearly points to the need of a healthy family structure with a mom and dad. The fuckup we see today in many kids and even their young parents is a direct result of a disturbed traditional family structure. Every psychologist and psychiatrist worth his or her salt confirms that.

That's not what liberals want to hear but I cannot care less. This is the truth and fact, I am just the messenger.

To a large degree the current gig economy is responsible for this trend. Traditionally, one single income earner was enough to make ends meet for a family. Then we needed two income earners. Nowadays 1 in 3 employed have two jobs and 57% of respondents of a recent poll would consider a second. Now tell me how neglected kids, depression, mental illness, alcohol and drug addiction is not directly related to this trend. And why are two incomes not enough anymore? Because of our economic policies of free wheeling capitalism where the few that hold all the power in their hands squeeze out ever increasing profit margins for corporations and pay their employees wages that don't keep pace with the cost of living. In fact many companies convert more and more of their full time jobs into part time or temporary gig economy jobs. No wonder this fucks up an entire generation or two. There are consequences to our actions. As long as society buys into the lies of free wheeling corporations many of which are hardly if at all regulated this trend will only continue and completely destroy our society. Look how the FTC head is slowly but surely slaughtered and destroyed because she tried to reign in corporations. The powers at the wheel can't let controls and regulations happen, it would interfere with accumulating couple trillions more in profit for the elites in short order.

Politicians turned housing into a casino, where prices are now out of reach to most.
Housing has sapped money out of everyone, especially those lower down the ladder.
But politicians pretend theyre not responsible, you'll notice one very clear trait, their silence over the whole matter.
Politicians screwed up big time, but they keep quiet because they don't want to get involved, it hurts them personally to change the status quo.
They want people to believe builders are at fault, or global inflation not caused by them, or investors are at fault, or banks or Realestate agents, or pricey building materials, or local government or lack of land, ANYTHING but them.

There seemed to be a tremendous amount of Investment property ownership amoungst our Pollies. I've also read about alleged ties between Politicians and property developers, whether true or not I'm unsure.
Let Inflation rip seems to be the mantra.

If politicians so much as open their traps regarding fixing housing mess, they know they'll lose votes, no matter what they say.
So self preservation springs straight into action, "....don't me/us dare get involved sorting out the fiasco we created, it's a votes losing strategy".
