Overnight Flash Crash...

  1. I'm flat tonight. Just tellin ya what I think. Let's just watch and see. Good time for popcorn!

    Hell it wouldn't surprise me if we were limit up and some point. It is op ex after all.

    This wasn't a flash crash. Big volume. Traders dump 30k contracts on the ES AFTER HOURS (around 8:20pm). That's as much volume as the open.

    Tmrw is gonna bad day for longs.

    last i saw Dow futures only down 150 or 160..a bad day but nothing to get your panties in a bunch over

    you've seen a fiscal cliff before?

    The dollar amount in the budget is relatively small I agree, but combine that with massive automatic tax increases, uncertainty over Obamacare impact, and the further political drama and this to me looks like a real turd

    I've seen it before as well in MANY equities stocks. Unless Obama/Boehner get together overnight and get it done, I don't see how we go back to even.

    Look at the charts, they are starting to show that ugly curl downwards. Dow futures is at about -200 right now.

    Institutional players could push around a lot. Regular retail traders couldn't do that size, even with $500 margin. :D

    me too.but not on SP futures. some bots got f**d real good on this spike. that's about 3% straight down in 5-10 min and then 2% right back up
