The Biden camp has already stated he would debate in the official Presidential Debates if -- as assumed -- he was the Democratic nominee. You should have just agreed with the post I made listing the official debate schedule and then nothing further would need to be stated. I provided the facts and the links to the information. IMO At this point Trump is just blowing smoke up everyone's rear on Truth Social as he is apt to do regularly. There are two possible proper responses from the Biden camp for Trump's assertions. The first is to ignore Trump because he is just pandering to his MAGA crowd trying to set up alternate debates (this is the best response IMO). The other possible response is to post the official Presidential Debate schedule and say "we will see your there". Trump stating he wants Biden to debate him immediately despite Trump never attending the GOP debates is laughable. Time will tell if the two candidates attend the official Presidential Debates. I expect both will be there. Making this mere blowing of smoke by Trump.
Biden's teleprompter need only show "ding boom ding boom ding boom!" and a note to point at Trump and laugh.
The debate schedule has been out for a long time. It was probably penned in 2022 if the truth were known. And might I add, you pointed out the debate schedule, which I already knew about, after three or four posts of rambling on about maga this and maga that, Alex Jones etc. Posting the debate schedule, even in your 5th post, does not mean there will be a debate. Now... you could be right... but provide us a recent link that verifies "The Biden camp has already stated he would debate in the official Presidential Debates" ----so we can determine the veracity of the person that said that. Because the official White House spokesperson sidestepped that question earlier this week. She said something to the effect that that was up to the DNC and for the reporter to ask them. Twice she said that. Now color me naive here... but one would think if this decision has already been made, Karrine Jean Pierre would have simply said "Yes, the President will appear at the official debates." But that wasn't the case. So back up your assertions here with a link, and I'll have my answer... that there will be a debate. Simple.
GWB, if you can prove there will be a debate, please send me next week's Powerball numbers. Thanks, mate!
Karrine Jean Pierre is correct about one thing -- it is the party (Republican or Democratic) which must commit to their candidate attending, not the candidate themselves. The party must agree to the format, rules, etc. before the candidate will attend. And just as a reminder, the RNC withdrew from the Commission on Presidential Debates and refuses to have their candidate attend debates held by them. This makes it unlikely Trump will attend the official debates.
And while he's at it... let him know that the odds of Trump not showing up for a scheduled official debate that Biden has said he'll be at.... are about as great as those powerball numbers coming in. Not zero, but infinitely close.
Leave the GOP side out for now... this is in regards to what you said regarding Biden. Judging by the text of what you just wrote... you are now admitting that we don't know for certain if the DNC will let Biden debate.
Let's see if Trump shows up to the debate. Seeing how the RNC withdrew from the Commission on Presidential Debates and refuses to have their candidate attend debates held by them.
I will agree that I do not know for certain if the DNC will agree to the Presidential debates -- there must be agreement on format, rules, etc. which the RNC & DNC will be at loggerheads on. Keep in mind -- any candidate stating they will attend the debates is nearly meaningless since it is they national party which must agree to the debates. A candidate can state they desire to attend the debate if the party agrees to it.
