A one-year program when exiting out of the military was poorly designed along with the crappy physical (no blood chemistry work) given to soldiers exiting the military.

It became an issue when there was an unusual number of military soldiers developing health problems (e.g. cancer) several years after exiting the military...

For example, the Camp Lejeune incident.

Military personnel stationed at Camp Lejeune from 1975 to 1985 had at least a 20% higher risk for a number of cancers than those stationed elsewhere, federal health officials said Wednesday in a long-awaited study about the North Carolina base's contaminated drinking water...mainly impacting Marines and Navy soldiers.

Biden/Harris administration made it a blanket coverage beyond Camp Lejeune to include stationed at bases abroad in wartime and peacetime.

I'm part of a lifelong medical study because I was stationed abroad for 8 months in the Middle East and for about a 1 1/2 years in South Korea...next to an airbase with toxic chemicals.

In addition, I'm eligible for financial compensation if I ever have any healthcare problems "linked" to my service of duty...lifelong compensation...not a one-year limit under a Trump/Pence administration.

A small improvement to a Trump passed bill

    Way to go Joe!!!

It would far more impressive if Biden got his own major healthcare bills passed rather than making small improvements to other presidents bills.

Im not, which is way I give major credit to Obama for his 2014 VA bill which made changes to The VA far greater than anything Biden has done.

You meant to say a major credit to the Obama/Biden administration for the 2014 VA bill considering who in the hell do you think encourages Obama to win points with Veterans ?

    Hint: It was not Michele.

Guess who it was that has taken credit for what Obama/Biden 2014 VA bill did for Veterans ???

That small improvement takes care of Veterans for many years instead of the bullshit one-year limit under Trump.

Now imagine if some idiot walks up to you and says you will only get Social Security for a one-year limit or get child care credits on your taxes for your children for a one-year limit...

    OR

Obamacare is only good with a one-year limit.

Surely you can see a dumbass will suggest a one-year limit like that and a dumbass will laugh about it when somebody comes along and extends it.

  9. Next he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare....something his followers depend on the most.

    How Trump ends Social Security

Want to end Social Security? Just vote for Donald Trump or pretty much any Republican this fall.

Every year that Donald Trump was president he proposed budgets that would have cut Social Security funding and benefits; in 2020 he even campaigned on ending the payroll tax — that funds it and Medicare — altogether.

The Republican Study Committee, which claims 175 of the House’s 219 Republican members of Congress, released their annual budget proposals last summer, and, sure to form, they also called for the setup of draconian cuts to Social Security.

Weirdly, the title of the section of their budget that cuts Social Security is titled Preventing Biden’s Cuts to Social Security. If you’re baffled by that because Biden has never called for cuts to Social Security, you live in the reality-based world.

But in RightWingLand, Social Security is on the verge of collapse and so needs to be gutted for young people. Their budget notes:

Similarly, Project 2025, the nearly-900-page rightwing blueprint for gutting the American middle class, ending voting rights, imposing Christianity on all Americans, killing public schools, and ending women’s abortion and birth control rights also has Social Security in its crosshairs.

Getting something implemented in the first place is a bigger achievement than extending it.
