It’s almost impossible for anyone at the age of 80 to be at their peak of mental acuity. That’s a given.

Now you state as a fact that Biden didn’t take a cognitive exam because he knew he wouldn’t pass. You don’t know that to be a fact but it’s not unreasonable to suspect that at his age.

I don’t agree mistaken Laken for Lincoln is a sign of impairment. It’s an uncommon name and totally normal to flub uncommon names so you get no points for that. It took me a few days to process “Laken.” I assume the average conservative has this name as common vernacular at this point though.

Calling migrants “illegals” is Biden being Biden and more an insight into where he truly is on the issue. My guess is that was a spontaneous remark and we got a look into his psyche with that remark. Didn’t do much for him with the progressives though.

Last but not least you state anyone with any cognitive impairment should not run for office. To that I would say have you ever seen Donald Trump contemporaneously work through an idea. This is the guy who proposed cleaning blood with disinfectants. He recently mistakenly referred to Nikki Haley as Nancy Pelosi, then vice versa. He refers to Biden as Obama. And worst of all he doesn’t do the thing that will most keep your mind sharp, namely he doesn’t read. Bonus: he’s 78 years old and no doubt diminished from his peak acuity which was never acute to begin with.

And yes this is where we are.

As far as rehearsing the SOTU for theee days and reading it off of a teleprompter. That’s pretty standard. I get the average layman doesn’t know that but if you’re a politically minded person you should know that.

Both Biden and Trump are impaired cognitively. It's funny to see Trump publicly attacking Biden for his cognitive difficulties while the two only have a difference of a few years in age when Biden rarely say anything about Trump's cognitive problems.

One clearly behaves like a bully to the other while forgetting that person kicked his ass once.

The question is which one is more dangerous or has unusual behavior, made threats, sudden bursts of anger, emotional outbursts, et cetera to show that it's a person unfit to be President of the United States.

You can check the box all the above for Trump.

With that said, there are different types of cognitive tests, and U.S. Presidents typically are not given a real cognitive test. The cognitive test's they typically are given are less effective and very simple...

Yet, Trump was given a cognitive test when he was President.

“I think it was 35, 30 questions,” the former president said in Portsmouth, N.H., of the test, which he said involved a few animal identification queries. “They always show you the first one, like a giraffe, a tiger, or this, or that — a whale. 'Which one is the whale?

    What is cognitive testing?

Cognitive testing checks for problems with certain brain functions called "cognition." Cognition includes thinking, learning, remembering, and using judgment and language. Problems with cognition are called "cognitive impairment."

Many different cognitive tests check for cognitive impairment. They generally involve answering questions and doing simple tasks, such as repeating lists of words or spelling words backward.

The most commonly used tests usually take 15 minutes or less.

Cognitive impairment is more common among older people, but it's not a normal part of aging. It can be caused by many medical and mental health conditions. Some of these conditions may be treatable, such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), depression, and side effects from medicine.

Treating these conditions may improve cognitive impairment or cure it completely. But cognitive impairment caused by dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, has no cure and gets worse over time.

Cognitive testing alone can't diagnose dementia or any other cause of cognitive impairment. However, the test results can show whether you have a problem with how your brain is functioning that needs more testing. That helps your healthcare provider order the right tests to learn more about your cognitive impairment and whether it can be treated. Even if the cause of cognitive impairment can't be treated, the information you gain from cognitive testing can help you and your family plan for your future care.

    ----------

Signs of Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease

    Dementia
    • memory problems, particularly remembering recent events.
    • increasing confusion.
    • reduced concentration.
    • personality or behavior changes.
    • apathy and withdrawal or depression.
    • loss of ability to do everyday tasks
    Mild Alzheimer's Disease
    • Memory loss that disrupts daily life.
    • Poor judgment, leading to bad decisions.
    • Loss of spontaneity and sense of initiative.
    • Losing track of dates or knowing current location.
    • Taking longer to complete normal daily tasks.
    • Repeating questions or forgetting recently learned information.
    Severe Alzheimer's Disease
    • Inability to communicate.
    • No awareness of recent experiences or surroundings.
    • Weight loss with little interest in eating.
    • Seizures.
    • General physical decline, including dental, skin, and foot problems.
    • Difficulty swallowing.
    • Groaning, moaning, or grunting.
    • Increased sleeping.
As a kid, I remember when my grandmother in France had Alzheimer's Disease. She later died from a massive stroke when she had Dementia. Trump and Biden are not anywhere near that. I do remember when she shattered her foot...her foot did not heal properly after the extensive physical therapy. From that day on until her death about 8 years later...she shuffled while walking...very similar to the way Biden shuffles when he walks today after his foot injury.

Also, as a reminder, Biden had brain surgery for two brain aneurysms in 1988. Years later, candidate Obama made damn sure that Biden was given an extensive cognitive test...several of them to make sure that Biden was fit so that he was not a liability in Obama's run for Presidential run to President of the United States.

Obama required more extensive cognitive tests even though Biden did not have unusual behavior, did not make threats, sudden bursts of anger, emotional outbursts, et cetera to show that he would be mentally unfit.

By the way, Alzheimer's disease is a physical illness that damages a person's brain. This eventually causes dementia. Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia.

With that said, it's ridiculous to speculate on Biden's and Trump's cognitive ability (mental fitness to serve as President) unless we're experienced Doctors who have given them "Cognitive Tests".

Yet, let us look at a hypothetical situation...we already know a President is physically fit to serve as President of the United States because we have a historical example...

Roosevelt remained paralyzed from the waist down and relied on a wheelchair and leg braces for mobility...he's one of the top 5 U.S. Presidents that has ever served America.

Therefore, I wouldn't be concerned about Biden until he starts to do what Trump is currently doing while so far ahead in the polls...unusual behavior, made threats, sudden bursts of anger, emotional outbursts, public praising of Dictators in other countries, trying to discredit NATO...an organization with all its flaws as it keeps us from WWIII.

Simply, regardless of Biden's and Trump's mental and physical flaws...

Trump is the bigger threat and greater evil to America and to the World especially when America has less control on the evil that other countries do to each other.

January 6th, 2021 was just an example of what he could/will do to America...chaos while he plants seeds to doubt Democracy and the U.S. Constitution.

  3. The likely binary choice of Biden and Trump sucks. I don’t agree with Biden on most things, particularly taxation strategy. However, at this point the modern Republican Party led by their dear leader is far worse to me. How Britt attacked illegal immigrants (I don’t care about being woke/PC, they are here illegally by our laws) pissed me off. It was as xenophobic as it gets. You can talk about problems with illegal immigration and say we need to be consistent with following laws, but to pick the worst examples of illegal immigrants and act like that’s the problem is the worst form of openly discriminatory rhetoric I can remember hearing by somebody who’s supposed to be a “mainstream” politician. This is seriously David Duke-segregationist level shit. We should be more afraid of American citizens murdering and raping us than illegal immigrants, at least that’s what the stats show. I guess they feel that we shouldn’t let the facts get in the way of some good demagoguery.

Their hypocrisy about Biden using the State of the Union to go after the issues they've been blaming Biden about is hilarious especially Marjorie Green in her Make America Great Again red outfit that she thinks is not a political statement at the State of the Union.

It's a clear reminder when the divisive tone of Trump on January 6th, 2021 caused an insurrection...people were arrested for what they did and many would later go to prison for attacking Americans...searching for Americans to Kill....threatening to Hang Americans...

These idiots later try to sweep it under the rug with tongue in cheek...smiling about it.

They're mad at Biden, saying he stole the election and for not bringing America together or the world together into hugs and kisses instead of looking at their actions that are dividing America.

My suggestion to these idiots, stop the political hypocrisy bullshit, act like human beings and respect each other. The hugs and kisses will soon follow. :D

Go figure. Katie Britt's story about a 12 year old girl sex trafficked cross the border to the U.S. and raped many times each day in America due to Biden -- is a complete fiction. It happened inside Mexico and occurred during the Bush administration.
