Is there a law that prevents futures firms from reporting this on your credit report?
Well to me it sounds logical that anyone who you owe money to that is past due has a right to report it to a credit bureau.
FCMs would try to collect. The only way to avoid paying would be bankruptcy.... unless the amount were small enough that it wouldn't be worth the bother. Then, the FCM probably turns it over to a collection agency.
What's wrong, used too much leverage on your "hedge fund"?
