Look you have to remember this was a new instrument, very opaque. Moodys are scapegoating the losers on their staff who were involved. Thats normal. Moodys are trying to save face. They nominate a few to take the fall and pretend they didn't know shit from shit as to how it happened. But a lot of you guys need to wake up and make your own judgement. Those CDOs were opaque without a liquid and open market in them. What more would you need to know. Rely on no one. Sure, take account of Moodys but bottom line decide these things yourself AT THE TIME.
