  2. Chaps,

Really appreciate your comments. I would still welcome more suggestions.

I have been sim trading ES today along with YM, and I now understand why most people suggest scrapping the YM and simply trade ES.

However, can I please, please get further suggestions on best times to trade - considering I'm trading from the UK.

    Cheers

  3. If you can trade London hours you can't beat 6E.

  4. for the ES between 9:30 am and 4 pm EST although there's usually a lot of vol from 8 am to 9:30 when there are econ reports out. i believe london is 5 hrs ahead of us so 5:30 am to 11 am.

  5. One of the reasons I mentioned 6E is that the volume is often better 2am - 8am (Eastern, U.S.) than it is after 11:30 am. Plus you're in the UK, so trading the EUR would seem like a natural choice. But maybe that's just me. :)

As for best hours for ES and YM, just have a gander at any chart with volume and see for yourself.

  7. The Euro vs the dollar. The most active of the currencies and very liquid during your working day.
