Gore would have won if the rules were retroactively changed.

His failure will the the legacy most will remember and it will impact the Republicans greatly in the next elections...mid-terms and Presidential.

I'm very surprise they're letting (their silence) drag them down the rabbit hole with him without even a fight...unreal.

This is why the 2020 elections is so important to the Democrats and in my opinion is scaring the hell out of the Republicans...

Democrats now have a new blueprint of what to do in future elections. For example...such as the enlistment of help from a prior President was just the beginning and it paved the way into grabbing Georgia like some last minute steal of someone's girlfriend.

In many ways, it was a military strategic strike due to the center location of Georgia among other Republican states.

    Biden / Harris takes Georgia...crazy.

It's unexplainable at this point. Maybe later it will be clear what's happened to the party. Just to pass it off as mainstream Senate Republicans being afraid of Trump is a too simple explanation I think. The Republican party may emerge after this past election as a radical right party cobbled together out of evangelicals, white nationalists, and tea party anarchists, leaving mainstream Republicans, i.e., the "Lincoln Project Republicans" out in the cold. Very interesting what's happened. I think we will know something after the Georgia Senate run-off in early January. It's hard to say what the result of Trump's actions will be on mainstream Republicans , but some might just stay home in protest, not wanting to associate with what has become the "party of Trump", which is taking on the appearance of a "white nationalist cult". Perhaps that's what Steve Bannon had in mind all along.

A thing to remember about this was Bush's little brother was running Florida and so that this all happened in the state he controlled seemed to be shenanigans and it was proven to be so subsequently.

Jeb Bush wasn't the one who designed or chose the infamous "butterfly ballots."
    upload_2020-11-21_9-57-56.png

It was the Democratic Supervisor of Elections for Palm Beach County, Florida, Theresa LePore aka "Madame Butterfly."
My stepmother lived in Palm Beach County at the time and said she wasn't sure if she voted for Gore whom she favored or Buchanan.
