last i knew, the argument is over why overstock shares are valued at $16. some people like to believe that it's a big conspiracy and that the shares should be higher. this conspiracy also seems to be popular among penny stock investors who get burned by a pump and dump. the company's numbers say that the stock should actually be valued LOWER than $16 a share. It's hard to argue with the raw numbers

Nobody here is talking about the stock. We are talking about a man, who is CEO of said company, fighting what he sees as corruption. Since he has started that fight, and endured all sorts of ridicule, many things have transpired, including an investigation of the SEC by the GAO, the outcome which is still unknown.
