OSTK ceo

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by SWScapital, Aug 17, 2005.

  1. byrne is still an idiot and if you want to see the shorts get squeezed tell him to resign and get a real ceo. i am not surprised his employees might like him. they are probably Mormons and since Mormons still actually believe Joseph Smith actually was a prophet and not a con man, their judgement is suspect.
that said i am not opposed to buying the stock if it looks like it can ever make money. i will probably take a position if it pulls back again.
your conspiracy theory is still nothing but speculation. no evidence whatsoever yet.

  2. What a stupid comment. You display your ignorance by posting such drivel on a public board. Byrne isn't a Mormon, I'm not a Morman, but it is America and they get to believe what they want. That you think Byrne is a bad manager is a valid opinion, I guess. But as you always say to me, where is your evidence? Alsin makes the same points I told you an Institutional type told me two months ago. It just that that weinie Goldberg screams so loudly, he drowns everybody else out.

I personally am of the belief that the penalty for bigamy in America is two wives. that being said, let's leave religion out of this, and stick to the story, which is rapidly becoming the biggest scandal in Corporate history. It already is, you just don't know it.

If you are just concerned with the naked shorting scandal, why post an article about an analyst declaring OSTK shares cheap? What does that have to do with naked shorting? Who are you and how much are you getting paid to post this stuff?

BETTING ON A FALL – Investment pools for the very rich are known as hedge funds. One of the major ones is being accused of spreading negative information about a major company and then betting on its falling stock price. Lesley Stahl reports. Janet Klein is the producer.

My bet is Rocker gets hosed. Any takers? It's over Stevie. It's over. wonder who the major company is?

I hate to see children burned by matches. Son, cover that short, or when daddy sees that credit card statement he's gonna take that bad leg off and wear yo ass out with it.

Sorry this didn't make it on the tenth, but Mike and I were planning his retirement party.

If CBS has some concrete evidence, this is just the beginning. Press will jump on this as its an easy target. I wonder how many folks will tune in to 60 minutes on sunday?

briefing says NYT is also coming out with a similar piece.

  9. You think after ten years we're just sittin' here? Everybody will know.

If this is true as Biovail's lawsuit lays out, they cheat to get returns. They destroy good businesses as well as bad. SAC has a lot of legit money in it. If it's a powerful piece, they pull. Think about that.

I had a law enforcement guy tell me what a lifesaver TASR is, and they want to destroy them. WTF. It's got to stop. And it will be painful.
