there you go again destroying your credibility. if you were just saying that some hedge funds were doing illegal shorting we would all probably agree with you. when you bring in the conspiracy theories that the media, sec, nasd, goldman, cramer, greenberg, congress, george bush, rocker, big banks and many unnamed hedge funds are involved in a giant conspiracy to cover it up you lose all credibility. why would the media want to help cover this up? they love to dig up dirt.
Oh-h-h-h-h-h- there's a case alright. Look for Gradiant to softpedal the news. But, you notice there is no outright denial. Roddy Boyd doesn't even like us, but he reported the story. You are in a secular bear market that began in '00, and that move was aided by the Elgindy naked shorts. They were big companies. The DOJ has made a list of 40 that documents their wanting some11mm in profits returned. This unravelilng is going to play hell on the market. How can firms buy-in more fake shares than the actual floats (admitted to by the SEC..) Some firms will not survive. And Remember, this Gradiant thing is not about naked shorting (Refco?) It is the BD's that are naked shorting, and getting the hedgies for 30%. So this is deep. That's why, while OSTK sues Gradiant/Rocker, the States are looking at trading records. the fake paper comes from somewhere. "This is an evil time for America,"Vince told me, his eyes gleaming points of light in all that hair, "and a time to weep; a time to lose is coming. Gross corruption and greed on Wall Street and corporate America have poisoned the golden well of capitalism. Barton Biggs, "Hedgehogging" John Wiley and Sons 2006 Have a nice evening, scumbags.
good thing im not worried about "losing credibility" in your eyes. you are a lemming and can not think for yourself. i said the same thing about the war in iraq 3 yrs ago and ppl responded just as you did here. sorry.... i will take being right over winning accolades from dupes.
War in Iraq? IOTN about to ship IED robots to IRaq. Naked shorted to death. 44% "legit" short. These bastards fingered this company for liquidation. If they drove them out of business, would their sons like to disarm those bombs by hand? Conspiracy? In my desk drawer, I have letters written to Shelby, Barber, Baker , and not by me. We had a Congressional hearing up, till Shelby quashed that last year. All were going to help until they found out how big it was. Does Bush know. Absolutely. And I"m a registered Republican. Or as a now famous State Regulator says., I used to be a Republican. The conspiracy is, it's so big, they have tolerated it for so long, they can't figure out how to unwind it. So they delay, hoping it gets better, like a four year old shitting his pants, and hoping nobody notices. Well, it stinks. Hey, I hope a few guys make money on the squeezes, and cause some more pain for the big boys. By the way, Byrne will be on Brit Hume either tonight, or early next week.

Six isn't bad, since they started it all. How about Wells Fargo? Gee, don't they have a letter of credit deal w/OSTK? And they are a broker, right? Wonder if they gave the bryne's all the stock they bought? The train is leaving the station.
Explain to me how driving down a company's stock price drives a company out of business? Either the company makes money, or it doesn't. The profitability of a company is not dependent on its stock price. If it makes money, its not going out of business regardless of the stock price.
Dot-com, zero earnings concept-type stocks that are dependent on an eternal flow of secondary offerings can get deep-six'd by a tanked stock price as the secondaries no longer float. We all saw this happen a few years ago. Brynes' upset 'cause he has come late to the party but still thinks he's entitled.
UAL, DAL, Winn DIxid, some of the bigger names. The dark side drives the prices down so the ability of the company to fund itself is taken away. They pick on weak companies. I believe they picked on OSTK because of the dutch auction and Patrick's reputation of being, shall we say, off the beaten path. The quicker the stock goes down, the more profits with greater liquidity.. Goes to zero, no taxes. Brokers do not report deregistered situations to the IRS. Don' worry, we told them. Expect to see that very soon. That's jail time, gotta love it. BlueHorseShit. I know Patrick Bryne. You aren't fit to wipe his ass. He could be sippin' Champagne, waiting for you bastards to take the stock to 2, where he'd tender for the four real shares that are left. Instead, he wades in and lets everybody take pot shots at him. It's called "integrity". Wall St. should have a little bit of that elixar. I don't know if he's worth a shit as a businessman. But I know of no finer man anywhere. Its over boys. Get outta town fast. Call Tom Badian. I hear he has some Austrian connections. Oh, wait. He's in jail. Never mind. Here's one. THe dark side is "soft-pedaling" the UTah, Ct. stuff. They are saying it didn't really happen, or some garbage. The DTC did refuse the supeonas, as an SEC beat reporter they are apt to do. I will tell you, the information was delivered. It's over. Here's another one. T Boone on CNBC yesterday, said he was unsure of the price of oil until he saw how big the Gradiant problem is. You guys, the ones w/o an ax to grind like me and BlueCrabCake, use the brains God gave you. I would be scanning every big name on the SHO list. I don't have a day or time, but when the buyin's happen, it'll be a tradin' fieldday.
Again, if the company in question was any good (i.e., made money), then there is little chance the stock goes to zero. If the company in question was making money hand over fist, then there would be plenty of investors willing to buy its shares. With all of your posts, you seem to ignore the fact of how badly OSTK sucks in terms of making money as a company. If you would look at that fact, then you would see that all of your posts don't really matter. Contrary to what you say, I believe that if OSTK wasn't a piece of crap company, that people would be putting it to the shorts right now. The market has the ability to take care of itself.
