The outrage continues. Notice Taser's CEO differentiates between shorts, and naked shorts. He respects the rights of the shorts, THE LEGIT SHORTS. I neither know, or care, about Taser's fundies. I do care that they have a right to make it on their own.
    I refer you to http://www.faulkingtruth.com/Articles/Investing101/1038.html

Reference the Ralph Lamiase letter. Ralph was a 17 year old Marine. The motto of the Marines is "Semper Fi". Some of you couch potatoes might not know it means "always faithful".. Mr Lambiase told me that he has a personal interest in this, and told me., "tell your friends it's over. We will finish it. It is now personal with me." Now there are people here talking out their ass talking about how shitty individual companies are. If you can't see what I'm showing you is horribly true, and that it threatens the integrity of the entire market, you better get a resume out. You will not be a trader long.

This is not about fundamentals - that's for the markets to decide. This is about manipulation, pure and simple. Well, not so simple. If you'd read the posts, you'd see what I mean.

I believe Byrne said as much in one of those calls where he said he would be happy to discuss the fundies in a different forum. This was not it.

Our whole system is in jeopardy, and you guys talk out cher butt! Get with it. People are stealing. Know what? I'll bet Byrne and probably Smith will tell you, if we fall down fundamentally, we should get punished. But, the way is now, do poorly, lose. Do well, lose. WTF?

Nope. I didn't say that. I said if OSTK was the opportunity that some are making it out to be, then Cerberus which is run by one of the smartest guys around would take it private. And if not them, another similar hedge fund.

Might want to read a bit more carefully next time.

  7. i read it quite well the first time..... maybe we all need to worry about surviving difficult economic times ahead. we dont need criminals shorting fake paper against legit companies.

THIS IS ILLEGAL PEOPLE..... end of discussion. CNBC/nbc spiked the story. Sen Shelby shelved the issue. go read the research.... this is a conspiracy at a very high level. the SEC heiarchy is also complicit.... the lower level sec personnel know whats going on but are handcuffed. the info is out there.

IT IS NOT ABOUT OSTK BEING A GOOD COMPANY OR NOT.

  8. Then again, maybe it is just about incompetent legislators and regulators who enacted a law that has no business being enforced.

  9. wow... another genius that has no clue about this dynamic. please expound on the benefits of naked shorting?

  10. i am not saying naked shorting of stocks should be allowed but naked shorting is done every day in the market and is legal. in the futures market you can sell naked until you run out of money without having to borrow anything.
in this case i doubt there is much illegal naked shorting going on right now. with all the heat on the subject you would have to be stupid to continue an illegal practice. people that run big money are not stupid. i think smart people have figured out a way to short this thing within the law. if you could use your mind to think logically instead of manufacturing twisted conspiracy theories you might be able to figure it out.
