In 2022 the winners of Singing News Songwriters Search were announced on July 15, about a month and a half after the contest was closed to submissions on May 31st. If that sort of schedule holds this year, one would expect the winners to be announced sometime around the middle of December. The winners of the 2023 Singing News Songwriters Search were to be announced on Thursday, November 2nd at 3:00 PM Central. That year, the final day for submissions was August 31st, which means last year it was a full two months before they made their announcements, which would put it at the end of December this year if they follow suit.
This simply looks like Suno set up another website. Update: It might look the same, but I generated a song for free and it was definitely not the same. For one thing, it took like forever for the two versions of the song to finally generate, and the first one at least was super boring. The second version is boring too. I just saw that if I had scrolled down, I could have selected a genre and mood from a limited number of options that appear when I click on an "Advanced features" drop down menu, but I don't if that would have helped much.
Here I set out to write a song about the local church—the ones that are biblical, that is—which I don't believe all churches that call themselves Christian to be.

The first time I uploaded this song, I included two hours and thirty minutes of nothing at the end of the video. So, I deleted that recording and replaced it with this one.
If you enter the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference Songwriter's Competition, it seems that in addition to the audio demo, they expect a chord chart, lead sheet and four-part hymn harmonization OR a full score of piano/vocal melody/harmony.
