There is stupid and wasteful shit that happens in all 50 states and here in Texas most of the stupid stuff is by Republicans, if only for the reason most here are Republicans. Why narrow your focus on just Oregon and just Obamacare? You're missing out on a lot of pissed off.
I detest wasteful spending no matter what the area ... from local school district where there are way too many pencil pushers at headquarters (and not working with kids) to state and federal government waste. The reason I focus on Odumbocare is that it's been broken from before they even started. The whole concept never made sense. I mean if you want to just give away more (partial) 'freebies' then why not just modify Medicaid to include those fully subsidized to those now getting essentially the same but who have to pay a small part of their premium? But more basic .... why even roll out this program when so many have been adversely impacted? And more will be in the coming years. Why not just set up a separate pool of $$ for those who were uninsured? As far as Oregon .... they have been a disaster with their failed attempts and the amount of $$$ totally wasted is mind boggling. Next, I have a sister and brother in law who live out there. She's the black sheep in our family as she's the only one of my 5 siblings that vote Democratic and she and I have had heated discussions on the many failures from the web site to the rollout to the lies by Obama & Sebelius. We waste plenty elsewhere ... military is one. Fraud in Medicare and Medicaid are others. And you can bet there will be a lot of fraud in ACA. Sadly, their is no accountability with government employees. Note the recent article on IRS employees getting bonuses when quite a few had various charges filed against hem (from minor stuff to not paying taxes to even more serious stuff). Heads should roll ... people should be fired. In Oregon whoever oversaw the failed web site development for the state should be terminated as state employee. We could go on forever on this kind of negligence and incompetence. My 1st job after college was being hired by a contract company or a USAF contract. I lasted a year before I was so irate over the civil service employees, and their lack of effort and I don't give a shit mentality, that I quit and found a new opportunity.
WARNING to all night club attendees. That âhotâ person hitting on you may not be interested in you at all. Nope, it may just be an O-bot or Obama drone, out on the town proselytizing for another Obamacare enrollee. The phrases, âthey just treated me like a numberâ and âpainting the town redâ have taken on whole new meanings. Thatâs right, the brownshirts are hitting the nightclubs. The UK Daily Mail reports that Enroll America, a pro-Obama front group, said the organization would âbegin hitting up nightclubs and court housesâ looking for people to indoctrinate in the unpopular 2,700 page law. âIf itâs a long line at a night club, we want somebody walking up and down it, talking to folks while theyâre stuck there,â said John Gilbert, National Field Director of Enroll America, in a call to Obamacare evangelists and proselytizers. This is further evidence that the Obamacare enrollment numbers are pitiful, especially with the youth of America, who must pay the bulk of the tab for the nationâs healthcare bill, under the anti-freedom, anti-American law passed exclusively with Democrat votes. The fact that the Obama regime would go do such embarrassing desperation as to troll nightclubs for signups is a better indication than any numbers the regime releases. http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/28/now-coming-to-a-nightclub-near-you/
A fatal wait: Veterans languish and die on a VA hospital's secret list http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/23/health/veterans-dying-health-care-delays/ The future of government run Obamacare no doubt. <iframe width='416' height='234' src='http://www.cnn.com/video/api/embed.html#/video/us/2014/04/23/ac-dnt-griffin-va-deaths-covered-up.cnn' frameborder='0'></iframe>
" The American Academy of Private Physicians estimates that there are now about 4,400 concierge physicians, 30% more than last year. In a recent Merritt Hawkins survey, about 7% to 10% of physicians planned to transition to concierge or cash-only practices in the next one to three years. With doctors already spending 22% of their time on nonclinical paperwork, they will find more government intrusion under ObamaCare regulations taking even more time away from patient care. As America doubles down on government authority over health care, Europeans with the means to do so are increasingly circumventing their own centralized systems. In Britain, even though they're already paying for the National Health Service, six million Britsâtwo-thirds of citizens earning more than $78,700ânow buy private health insurance. Meanwhile, more than 50,000 travel out of the U.K. annually, spending more than $250 million, to receive treatment more readily than they can at home. Even in Sweden, the mother of all welfare nations, half a million Swedes now use private insurance, up from 100,000 a decade ago." via wsj online
Oh great! So I'm forced to purchase crappy insurance and I get to pay additional cash for real health care. "good job mr president"
Again you're a liar. You said your employeer provides your insurance. Was that a lie or this post of yours a lie ? Being stupid and a liar, not a good combination.
My employer does pay for my insurance - NOW. I don't know that will continue as the massive negative affects of Obamacare start taking hold. Some people like to look/plan ahead, Mr emotional. LOL
The initial implementation of Healthcare.gov, the website for Obamaâs signature legislation Obamacare, was beyond rocky. The site was extremely unstable, crashing continuously in its first few months. In addition to extreme increases in premiums and out of pocket costs, Americans found themselves burden with the price tag for the website build that is estimated to be nearly $700 million, hundreds of millions more than the estimate. Despite the high price tag, the website still didnât work. One of the major problems plaguing the site Healthcare.gov is a backend system that is non-functional. FOX News reports on the contract given to Accenture Federal Services to complete âinitial repair work and enhance back-end capabilities to improve issuer payments and plan management including deploying new features.â The cost of that contract to taxpayers is another $121 million. The work is in an effort to get the website fully functional prior to the enrollment period in 2015....
