Hi Napoleon...not 100% sure but I think if you go to dough.com you might be able to qualify for a "tastybites" account with TDameritrade which would enable you to trade options (not future options however).
Made some changes to the approximate liquid worth, investment knowledge and investment time horizon annual income 25000 - 49999 approximate net worth 15000 -49999 approximate liquid net worth 15000 -49999 Years of investment experience - 6 - 9 years Investment knowledge - extensive Types of transaction - options, stocks Options Investment Objectives - speculation Under the website Investment Profile, i have also changed it to:- Risk tolerance - speculative Primary investment objective - aggressive growth Secondary investment objective - aggressive growth investment time horizon - 1 - 3 years I do have a small account $2500 After my 3rd attempt to reapply i am now asked to wait for 90 days. annual income 25000 - 49999 approximate net worth 15000 -49999 approximate liquid net worth 15000 -49999 I think those figures would need to be bumped way up in amounts. There is no perjury involved, so you can be creative in reporting the numbers. Just inflate the numbers way higher in your favor. Pretend you are the Fed reporting employment numbers. Maybe you can sorta include a future inheritance from a long lost aunt or someone. To avoid 90 days, I would take my money and run to another broker like MB Trading which charges 95 cents per option. I use them. They are great. Also, ask someone at the brokerage about what answers you have to put to qualify for options. They cannot tell you everything, but they will help out somewhat.
Anybody have any experience requesting options approval with Thinkorswim Canada? I believe the Canadian business was sold back to TD Waterhouse in Canada. I wonder if that changed the options approval process.
Hey all, I just tried to apply for options trading and futures trading and then the lady via phone asked me to submit a statement of trades from my last brokerage firm. I never had any other firms but am looking to start out with TD. I did put down annual income of 25000 - 49999 approximate net worth 15000 -49999 approximate liquid net worth 15000 -49999 Can anyone help with the numbers I should put down?
Open an account with a different broker or try TD again. You should not have to supply proof of option trades from a previous broker to trade options. The numbers you used should be OK.
