Options scanning... Spikes...

Is there a way to scan for options that are spiking in call or put volume?

 

Bloomberg should allow you to pull this information. Although, depending on the information you need it might be a bit slow.

 

Anything less expensive to use than a Blooberg Terminal?

 

look at IB's put/call ratio scan

If you see a spike in Put volume without the underlying having moved much or having it actually go up some what do you believe you've learned?
