I am looking for a good online broker for options on futures trading with reasonable commission rates. I would like to be able to trade not only options on index futures (which is all TOS seems to offer) but also on grain and metal futures.
According to their FAQ you can't trade options on futures via OEC's software. http://www.openecry.com/traderstoolbox/faq_display.cfm?FAQID=40&Cat=1&Row=21 It seems odd to me that their would not support that, is that correct?
Probably this faq is outdated. I can view options chain and submit orders through my OEC Trader platform after I enabled options trading on my account page. The rates are here http://www.openecry.com/rates/calcrates.cfm For example, symbol for es options is OES
Hello sk8erboy, thanks for the reply. OK that's great. Do you happen to know if they perhaps also offer a web interface which would allow to check ones orders and positions and exit if need be?
There's no web interface, but you can configure the OEC Trader to notify you via email after your orders are filled
Thank you guys for all your replies. Do you have any thoughts on Mirus or AMP? How do they stack up against say OEC?
No problem man, I trade via AMP using OEC platform (AMP Global) - the commissions are much more competitive than if you go directly with OEC.
