Has anybody got any good information on where best to trade options intraday? I am currently using IB and the options data, fills etc are are very slow. It general takes about 30 seconds to a minute to get a fill confirmed even when you are selling to bidder. Ron
You are posting very misleading information. Please do me a favor and PM me your IB account number and a couple of examples of such delayed fills (date, time, symbol, size, price) so that I can look them up. Thank you.

Are you using their "smart routing" or are you choosing the exchange? I've been with them over 5 years trading stocks, options, futures and even currencies. IB does have it's problems from time to time but slow fills/confirmations isn't normally one of them.
I tried to do a 20 contract vertical spread trade on Wednesday. The order kept getting bounced saying insufficient margin. I had enough to do 200 if I wanted. I tried 3 x, then I checked the description and it read : selling 1 = 10 contracts, so I tried again with 2 thinking well that means I will sell 20 right! Wrong I sold 2 lol. It was the end of the day and by the time I called and got through (10 mins later) the market had moved and the day was over. Of course the following day Thursday they dropped and the trade was not worth it anymore and Friday they expired worthless. That's .50 X 20 that IB's stupid platform cost me AGAIN. IB is good for futures but come Monday I'm moving ALL my options trading funds to OptionXpress. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!!! And yes I can give you specifics if you want them are you going to give me $1000 ?????? I'm still waiting 4 weeks for another credit that IB said they where going to send me for their mistake $250.
I use smart on stock and options. TWS is fine for eminis and stocks but OEX options take 30 seconds to a minute to show the executed fill. Limit order entries post immediately but not fills. I like IB and have traded with them in futures and stocks for about 5 years. However in the last 3 weeks since I started day trading OEX options the fills have been as stated above.
LOL That is the attitude they take your right. So I guess they think that I won't take my 500 futures rt/month business away either do they ? Well they are sadly mistaken, I will if I ever have the same stupidity with futs as I have with options trades with them.
lmao you are stupid. if you did some research you can get future trades much cheaper than ib with a 10 times better platform. i use ib for options only. there stock commissions are criminal
