I'm a MM in UST options. Been using Optionscity Metro for the past four years, but was wondering if any other MMs have software recommendations. Other than Orc is there any other 3rd party software that will let me auto quote?
Big_Kev, What don't you like about Option City? I was an equity option MM and used Actant Quote. I have a friend that uses them for options on futures. They use scripting to develop your strategy which makes it very easy to customize. I last used it in 2010 myself. http://www.actant.com/ Bob
isn't this just an add on to orc? other firms are licensing their software now https://www.rivalsystems.com/ https://www.tradewex.com/
I don't believe so. This came from a market making group on the Cboe, and morphed into stand alone software. I have looked at it at the Futures and Options conference and really liked the system, but it was far more than I needed as I no longer quote. I currently use Wex as a customer and I don't think their software allows for quoting. Other systems that I used awhile ago, not sure if they are even still around are Microhedge, and Edge.
You might want to check out ePOP Markets. http://www.epopmarkets.com/ They created one of the first electronic trading systems, but were mainly used for proprietary applications. As of recently, they have decided to expand their customer base. I have used Options City before, but have been using ePOP for the past 4 years to quote UST options and would never go back.
