Im looking for help from somebody who is more experienced than me. I was looking for stocks which trade in increments of 2.50.
As we all know all optionable stocks trade in increments of 2.50 up to 25.00. However recently I found stocks that trade in increments of 2.50 up to 50.00. Like GILD, QLGC, BBBY and other stocks from nas100. I want to know if there are any other stocks which trade in increments of 2.50 above 25.00 ,but are not in nas100? Also can somebody tell me how to find them as I was not able to find any filters for this.
    thanks

  2. I think you are looking for options with $2.50 strike increments.
Stocks that trade from 0 to 25 dollars have 2.50 strike increments,
30 to 200 have 5.00 strike increments and over 200 they have 10.00 strike increments. If a stock trades at 20.00 then rises above 30.00 it will still have the 2.50 increments.

Look through the CBOE website. They might have a list.

  4. Optionetics Platinum site can find trades for the 2.50 increments. It has a filter in the trade finder searches that looks for those stocks having those increments. Many of the stocks in the S&P 100 under $50 have them. They are great for keeping your risk down on credit spreads.:)
