Are they long calls as retail are selling covered calls?

I’m surprised by parallax and J.P. Morgan.

These are holdings. If you want more granularity - go to the SEC. site and bring up the actual 13F. It will show short or long. A few of these are MM's so some of the positions may be part of the MM strategy, customer facilitation or ETF strategy - maybe even an ETF sponsor position. If they are some type of dispersion or volatility hedge you may not know as SPX and VIX options and all futures don't come under the 13F rule.
No 13F required if you are under $100,000,000 in 13F securities.
