Oprah won't have Palin on the show

  1. Air America... there is a great example of why the Democrats want to revive the fairness doctrine.. Air America seems to be a dismal failure, just.... there is not much else you can say I guess... so the next wave of brilliancy is to try to get a free ride on the Rush Limbaugh show, and a really good chance to make it so unbearable that nobody would listen... I had an XM radio for awhile, so I tuned in Air America... what a dismal, disappointing, dreary bunch of immature krap that was... it was just Bush Bash and slurs, I could not stand it, maybe it's my triple digit IQ or something but it was just going nowhere.

It's always about shutting down the voter's access to conservative thought... Oprah is just another, though more blatant than any I can think of, case of it..... I don't think I have ever heard a conservative finish a sentence on Television if a Democrat had a shot at a microphone.....

And sure the ACLU defended Rush Limbaugh, nothing like an anectdotal factoid when you don't have a real argument... Read up on the ACLU at wikipedia, they were in bed with the Russian communist government back in the day, their main job seems to be to go to schools and threaten a lawsuit against teachers that don't teach evolution, which is a cornerstone of atheism really... the teachers are allowed to teach creation if they want but the schools will never fight the ACLU, they are the biggest swinging dicks from the left on the planet... so they defend the occasional conservative to make themselves look good and distort the laws to work better for the guys that give them money... big deal

  2. If you don't know the facts, then why not just shut up until you do?

  3. Oprah has already made her bed. I hope it's a big one cause she's a big girl.

"Visitors were bused to Winfrey's secluded home from an equestrian center about 10 miles away. A solid line of limousines, BMWs, Bentleys and a few hybrid Priuses disgorged well-dressed guests. Some sported stiletto heels despite official instructions to wear flat shoes for walking on Winfrey's meadow."

  4. The guy [Obama] wrote not a single piece of legislation as a state or fed senator but he wrote two [and I am sure they are just so enlightening] books about himself... he would fit that scenario.....

  5. So what's your point? Of course she's supporting Obama. She has made no effort to hide that fact. But she is not giving him preferential treatment on the show, and has not had him on the show since he announced his candidacy. Read the thread title for context. Speaking of which...

  6. "In 2005, he co-sponsored the "Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act" introduced by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) He later added three amendments to the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act", which passed the Senate in May 2006, Lugar-Obama" expands the Nunn-Lugar cooperative threat reduction, Honest Leadership and Open Government Act", which was signed into law in September 2007. Obama also introduced the "Iraq War De-Escalation Act", Obama sponsored with Kit Bond (R-MO) an amendment to the 2008 Defense Authorization Act, provision from the Obama-Hagel bill was passed by Congress in December 2007 as an amendment to the State-Foreign Operations appropriations bill, Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)"

  7. Wait... I thought the media was liberal -- how does guaranteeing hearing both sides shut down conservative thought? I'm a conservative and I don't think my beliefs are so fragile that if an opposing view is displayed that I couldn't defend my positions.

I really wonder what channels you watch.

Well your argument was that the ACLU was leftist because of an anecdote, my anecdote canceled your anecdote.

Well, no, I'm not an atheist but the science behind evolution is pretty inarguable.

So if the ACLU defended conservatives, it's because their motivation was purely evil, and if they defended leftists it's because they're actually leftist.

Your argument has the benefit of never allowing you to be proven wrong.

Surely you can see how intellectually dishonest this is.

  8. This falls into the category of be careful what you wish for. Republicans have nothing to gain with a Oprah interview of Palin, and much to lose if there are any gaffs.
The Oprah audience isn't going for anyone but Obama. Would Obama do an interview with Klan members? Same difference!
When Oprah gave her support to Obama she demonstrated that skin color was more important than her feminist ideals. If she truely was what she attempts to be on her show, she'd have thrown her support for Hillary.
