I am fairly new to trading and I was wondering if anyone has any strategies on trading the opens. Currently I am scalping a highly liquid, thick leveled stock which pretty follows the S&P for the most part. I have read a couple of books, mostly to do with tape reading and the only strategy for opens I found was using 1 bar candlesticks and wait for the broken trading ranges, but to this point that seems to miss more than it hits. To be honest, I have had more success throwing objectivity to the wind and trying to hop on in front of momentum! JPR
