Opinions on Interactive Brokers?

Well I'm confused. When I first typed this I looked at my last transaction which was buying 600 shares of an ETF, GSY, for which they charged just the flat $4.95


However when I look further back, they did charge me an "Esch Process Fee" which I assume includes the SEC fee for that same security, so you're correct and I was wrong.


I'll have to call Schwab and ask them what's up, although not sure that they won't just realize they missed charging me and I'll lose money from the transaction!

 

SEC 31 fee and TAF are only on sell orders of securities.

 

Got it, all makes sense now. My bad for the rushed look, thanks for setting me straight!

IB used to eat that fee and then one day they started passing it on. Many years ago now.
