  1. I'm new to building my own Computer and would like some input, these are the parts. Anything missing? Sound card Recomendation?

    1. Perhaps throw in a SSD drive (for a little over $100)?

    2. I use Intel i7 930. The list price is the same as i7 860 but the passmark score is just a tad faster. If the prices are the same, why not get something that is a tad faster?

    3. What OS are you planning to run? XP? Then 4GB is good. I run Win7 and I have 6GB on my box. Check the price differential for getting 6GB RAM compared to 4GB. These days it may not be much. If price differential ~ 0, always get more memory.

    4. Hard drive = 500GB. I bought a 1.5TB drive for one of my boxes. The prices have come down quite a bit these days. I know others kept saying you don't need the extra disk space. But if the price differential ~ 0, why not get higher storage? (Or a faster spin?)

    5. Doesn't the motherboard come with built-in audio? Do you want an extra sound card??? (It will take up one of your expansion slots)
