    Hi,

I'm new to call auction. I understand that in Asian markets such as Hang Seng, there is a 15 min pre-market session for people to place Opening call.

I wonder if the same thing happen in the US markets, particularly the S&P and also the commodities. Almost all US markets have a continuous trading session but is there still an Opening Call auction happening?

I read the term "Opening Call" from various materials but I don't seem to find such a mechanism, is it obsolete or something?

Also with all the continuous trading session, do we still get a "normal" open hour (not the official open hour, but the practical open that we can trade from) that we can consider as Open or it just varies from day to day?

  2. The word "La Puta", translated from Spanish into English means "the female prostitute".

    Ya I know...

Another interpretation is the fictional flying castle found in Gulliver's Travels... which is where I found the name...

Still, maybe I should change my nickname... hmm...
