I regularly submit some opening orders at IB. I have no complaints. A fair number of orders, though, that were not executed look like they could have been executed based on the opening price. Presumably, things like the availability of stocks for shorting and the size of the opening trade affect my ability to get executed. I am wondering if anyone knows if another firm for one reason or another might have a greater likelihood of opening orders being executed.
