7 fills, 1 long, 6 shorts, 4 winners, 3 losers, +0.005 average. Mostly shaken out on stops, 3 losers that took away all profits. Obviously, the biggest loser was a long. Should have played a little larger on that side. No long orders on financials. Cancelled about 50%.
2 fills, 2 shorts, 1 winner, 1 loser, -0.01 average. Mostly fess. Larger on longs. Did not play financials. One loss on a large spread on a hitted stop. Not patient enough on the other.
No fills. Cancelled 2/3. Played very very large on the long side. Expected the stocks to dump on the open and didn't think the OPG would do well on that side.
Mike, that didn't prevented you from playing LTD? "American Eagle upgraded by Citigroup and Lazard Capital Mkts"
No why, i don't see that news on yahoo finance under ltd, and thats a good news I was long. no? why would it matter?
To get the up/downgrades in Yahoo! you have to pay the real time (13$/month). Good news does not mean the stock is going up at the open. If you look at AEO, that good news opened higher but shut down right after. So you did not want to be long. As for the relationship with LTD, It's your decision but I like to cut stocks when their peers are big news (earnings, dow/up, merger, layoff,...). To me, it's obvious that if the analysts say one stock will recover for bla bla bla then chances are good that peers stocks should be perceived the same, or close to. Or that this stock is goin to outperform it's peers. Anyways, IMO it just make the thing shaky and you have no real clue which way it's going to go. On the other side, you could play it thinking that it's going to create a great imbalance and it's a good opportunity. That's your choice.
6 fills 5 short 100 shares, would have been a great day but forgot to cancel wfc long i was using to cover. I got out at a diffrent price and forgot. Then I just froze and lost 1$ (100$) on WFC. up 3$ I just sat there going wtf? this isn't fair, cant get out now it will come back, no way it can drop 1$
