April monthly review: Played 16 days. 23 longs, 39 shorts, 39 winners, 23 losers. +0.04 average per share. Lower % winner with the use of stops as expected. Slow month in profit. 4 days make the month. Not an easy one.
Year review: I have been playing OPG for a year now. Played 191 days. 383 longs, 374 shorts, 574 winners, 186 losers. +0.044 average per share. 76% winner. 4% average fill rate. Still on small volume. So far it's not worth my time. Consistent but I would have to play much bigger size (like at least 2-3 times more) to make it worth the time I spend updating the data, looking at the news and trading. I attach an equity curve "look" but dont share the $ value. You can see it's nice I dont up my size because in the past month it's been quite hard to play. I still have some improvements ideas so hopefully it's going to improve the results.
wow, .04 cps is not worth your time?? I know a lot of OPG traders who give their right leg for a cps like that, especially if you kept that up for a year. Assuming your .04 cps is really based on total shares traded, you are doing really well. If you read and listen to many opg traders, I'd say they try for 1.0 to 2.5 cps before commish. The key is size though. Just do the math, if you did 500k shares per month and grossed .04 cps..that's 20k before commissions. I think that would be worth my time.......
4 fills, 4 shorts, 3 winners, 1 loser, +0.09 average. Short only orders. Had a little power shut down here at 9:10, back at 9:15. The gambler in me went anyway :-| I need a backup battery.
