Opening Orders - 2008

  1. I intimidated every buyer and seller with my opening orders, so I must go to other flea markets to peddle my wares today.

i often see people talking about 0.2 envelope, what does it mean? does it mean 0.2 percent from the previous close or something else? can anyone clarify, please.

  3. It means 0.2 percent of the "opening price" of the stock adjusted for fair value, which is calculated from the FV opening of the S&P 500.

I believe the previous threads, which are linked on the first page of this thread, will show you how to perform the calculations. Or we could do it here, since it's really easy.

  9. Crazy morning. I got scared and sold half my shares immediately at a loss. Traded the chop a bit and made it out alive at 10am.

4 fills, all long, 1 small loser (MCD the culprit): +276

  10. Only one fill on a test position, so a scratch day. A bit disappointing to say the least.
