Thanks, we dont have the imbalance with IB. 4 fills, 2 longs, 2 shorts. 3 winners, 1 flat. +0.19 average. Cancelled about 50%, played a little wide, cancelled the remainder after 9:37 (about 7-8 left).
I thought with futs limit down I don't have the experience with this historic volatility. I prefer more mundane days when I know that if my orders are hit it has to do with that stock that day and not some overall huge market move one way or the other, but then I don't know that much about this tactic yet.
OK, advised everyone to simply use the SPY's pre-market (839 approx) for FV calculations. I only entered my "boot camp" list of 18 stocks, filled on 3, all winners made about 90 cents...not bad. Should be a fun day, although kind of anticlimatic right now. Don
Good choice IMO. Better safe than sorry. I did it cuz I felt confident but I had my finger the the trigger of the cancel all. You might miss a good day, but you might also miss a bad one.
I think with my 3 months experience it isn't enough experience for me to be trading in record volatility. I do think tho with the right experience probably is fine, as you and Don proved lol. That's ok I have patience.
My new traders hear the words "comfort level" a zillion times from me. You must feel comfortable with whatever trading style you're engaging in. It's ok to be a bit "excited" - but not fearful or anything. This helps you to go one step at a time, trade "comfortable" share size, etc. Have a good weekend everyone!! Don
Well with my lowly comfort level, I have accumulated 107 ticks with this, so, that works for me. I can see yes how doing this with 1g or 5g shares a pop would be what you say it is.
4 fills, 3 longs, 1 short. 2 winners, 2 flat. +0.13. Made some improvement over the week end. Can now cancel sectors and industries easylli and also made it easyer to cancel the news. More time to read the news
4 fills up approx 38 cents. Not bad. Boot camp starts today. I'll start posting how they're doing in a few days when they start doing the openings. Don
Flat on DUK short and -.18 on KO. KO seems like I got filled on wrong side or in fair value, got in 41.15 short. Maybe should've held but I don't like holding in something moving .30 against me for .15 profit.
