2 small days, up about $400 for the two. And, geez....how many "journals" are there on this thread these days? I think we have a zillion new ones, LOL. And, yes, the S&P list is a good start, liquidity is key along with price (avoid the over $100 types early on). In Toronto today, heading to Boston tomorrow. Back to you then! Don
12 fills / 9000 shares 2 long / 10 short / -387.00 blocked 20 of 86.... systems says would not have gotten any better... worst offender ...etr...-518.00
2 fills, both on the short side. Solid winner in JPM but got killed on BBY. -27.00 on 400 total shares. Still in test mode. Quick questions for the vets, are your exits automated, manual, or combination? I am really having difficulty trying to define an exit strategy, any advice? Thanks
exits are completely manual...others than manually placed stops for me....i use the stops only when i can't watch all the activity... time...experience......only then will you feel comfortable with your exits.... kinda like a roller coaster...first time...wow....after a while you can ride it reading a book...
As Lescor likes to say, getting in is the easy part. You gotta know how to trade to get the exits right. Best to just watch and see what works for you. Review each trade and see when the best exit point was. Gather some stats and maybe you'll see a strategy that works. And yes, BBY had news today. I'm mostly automated. Worst day in a while, -2K. MHS was a runaway train. If there was news premkt I couldn't find it.
