Opening Orders - 2008

  1. Wounded.
9 fills, 8 longs, 1 short, 7 winners, 2 losers. One loser on big volume for me that killed one month of profits. Worst day so far, by far. Nothing really I could do.
Don, I also almost became an investor in GE, :p

  2. Forgot to mention. -0.17 on average.
Just made a small modification to my program to help prevent such bad results. Perpetual evolution.

    Decent day.

  4. I just played GE this morning (although some traders in the office did really well with multiple fills)... made about 17 cents.

Interesting day, I came in early to check overall sheets, glad to say all is good, probably net ahead firm-wide.

    Yea for hedging, LOL.

  5. I skipped doing openings, not sure what I was in for with this market news stuff. Maybe it would've been fine to do my openings tho.

  7. I broke one of my cardinal rules about pre-market trading. Started buying GE from 23.40, down to 22.12 approx. So, I didn't do the opening, which would have been great...and ended up losing about $200 (was down $1200, LOL)...."coulda" been great...really, really, weird GE trading this morning.

    We'll see what tomorrow brings....

  8. I've been watching GE, all of a sudden it turned into a different stock, almost like it's some oil stock. I hope your GE guys took it easy.

  9. A bit extra volatile, that's for sure...everyone seems ok so far today. No big "layering" today.....either be right, or get out, LOL.
