Booker, how do you compare results of the fully automated vs. discretionary versions? Much better? Not really worth it? 10-fold? Twice as good?
Over the long run there is very little difference between the auto vs. discretionary systems except the discreationary has a lot smoother P/L Chart. ie less volatility... As for today I had FV at +0.195% and was 2:1 long.
The auto retrace program helps a lot when we have the quick "slingshot" trade...gap up 60 cents, prints down 15 cents in one second, then back to opening price. I set mine to capture half my shares immediately, which gives me this trade normally. Can't do that manually, too old and slow, LOL. Don
Two trains of thought. Mine is that if the market is opening waaay up, that I don't want to buy a stock that is not opening up very far...since I'm playing for a retracement downward.... Others do both sided by enveloping the higher opening... Some place buy orders below previous day's closing price only... Don
Booker, is this streak of losses normal from your experience or it's signaling that something has to be tweaked in the strategy parameters?
