Just got my quote from Dell for the workstaions, 15k for 20 units with 3*19" screens each, not bad but i think i can do better.
That seems dirt cheap! Actually too cheap, are you looking at how powerful the computers are, how much Ram they have and if the video cards for 3 monitors are included?

No the quote is in sterling, however the machines are extremely highly spec'd, higher than i asked for actually which accounts for the price.
Are you only getting one machine per trader? Most prop offices have at least 2 (one trading only, the other charting, email, etc).
Is opening an office something only an experienced and profitable trader can/ should do or can any entrepeneur with the capital open an office and staff it with traders? And, how does an office owner make money (aside from his own trading)?
In theory anyone can open an office although you would be wise to have someone there who knows what they are doing both in terms of trading and preferably managing too. You make your money of your office is in profit at the end of the month, you get a split of the profit from the prop firm from which you pay your traders and all yrou running costs, whats left over is shared between you and the taxman.
Well good news today, becasue i am under 30 various organisatiosn can give me grants to the tune of about £8000 to help with my initial setup which is always nice right?
None of them are Government grants or money from the Government are they? If they are, you are my hero!
