Open Order Not Filled

Discussion in 'Options' started by Arnie Guitar, Oct 6, 2006.

  1. I have a limit open credit(.65) spread order,
and the current spread(.70) is in excess of my limit(.65).
Am I not getting filled because there are other orders ahead of me and/or volume is light?

  2. Never mind, order has finally been filled.

    Sorry.

It took a half an hour.

Can you figure out from the time stamp to see if it was a delayed fill versus being a delay in reporting a more timely fill?

If the natural value of the spread exceeded the credit that you were seeking, you should have been filled immediately, at least to the extent of contracts available at that price.

Some brokers route to specific exchanges. You want someone with Smart Routing or whatever each firm calls it. Who are you trading with? Have you checked on what their routing procedure is?
