Open and Short Interest in the ES market

    Does anyone look at the Open Interest and Short Interest trading the SP500 E-minis? Any recommendation on how to use these two?

    Aren't the number of contracts for the OI and the Short Interest the same? ;) Or, are you referring to the COT?

    With Open Interest, I mean new contracts entered. With Short Interest, the percentage of people who are short.

    Number of Short Contracts = Number of Long Contracts

    I think you would be better to examine COT.
