Only fools trivialize the impact this is having on our economy. Whether you can afford the higher prices or not, your life will change too, and not for the better. Things get bad enough, you won't be safe in the street. Those that are well heeled will be nothing more than prisoners in their gated communities. You really want to live like that?

 

Doing business in NYC, coffee is a far more valueable commodity than gasoline.

You most definitely don't need a car, but business is always done at such an intense pace, that if you cannot keep up, most definitely will be "left in the dust", and if you are not careful, you may end up as roadkill. :eek:

So there you go...according to that article, the larger the car, the safer it is for the driver, and those figures generally apply to the passengers too. Hey, the Civic might be safer than the other small cars, but I'm still putting my kids in a Tahoe.
