Back in mid 90s when I day traded more stocks than S&P, one year all I did were selling short, you do enough back testing on right stocks, they drop like a rock on winners and stagnant at entry price on trades that don't drop which gives you a clue to have so many bars as a Time Stop, you back test "Time", what is the "mean" of getting to your target, so at this amount of minutes if price not gotten there, you new target is breakeven plus enough to cover fees!
Yes. The setups come if you don't force them. If I find myself in a forced trade, I try to just get out. But its easier to get into a trade than get out. All traders make mistakes. It's what you do with them.
You are so right, a good day is not making any errors, but I rarely have days where I have not made 1-2 small errors, trading is stressful, and my memory not like I was 21 any more. The more you can have your manual trading automated the better. You really know when you have made a major mistake, you got in easily in ES. LOL You have to keep focused after you have made a mistake, step away from computer, otherwise you do something really bad like revenge trading. It is like driving in East L.A. and taking wrong turn, instead of turning around quickly, you decide to go ask the guys standing around a fire in middle of the street, oh pardon me-can you tell me directions where the freeway is? LOL
Btw, Nasdaq 100 @ 3900 => on a ST basis, it is still possible that we face a +2%, +3%, +4% pullback... maybe more ? Keep an open mind. This is a bear market, but rebounds are always unexpected, because shorters buy back their shorts in order to short higher and kill every permabull hope. RIP Bull market. CM
Listen to Redneck, you are not ready. When you are the entries will be obvious, they won't all work but they all don't need to.
%% You could do that every day.LOL BUT someone was buying [to cover or close, most likely]DB or BAC sector about 2:57 central standard time. That can be improved on perhaps, not a prediction. If i had to ask for directions in LA, i would study Investors Business Daily+ their Selling Stock[sector]Short book.
just trade futures... no minimum rules and you can make $300 if ES moves from 1800 to 1806 for example just with one contract, which requires about $2800 initial margin
