  3. Congrats on your recent profits. Earlier this week you said that you were going to stay on YM until you learned more before moving to DAX.

    Now you are trading both??? Also, Brent is a big contract which is why you were able to make $400 so quickly yesterday. You should really be careful when trading such big contracts, they can cut the other way too.

  4. I love it. This thread has soooooo much entertainment potential... I'm very bullish on this thread. The only way it will reach its potential though is if increasenow will be as timely and honest about his upcoming losses (and, most likely, blow-ups) as he has been about his beginners luck. My fear is he will keep his losing days to himself, like some guys who only show up on the P/L thread to brag about their good days. It takes a lot of guts to expose your defeats to the world, like that dude who blew up over MLK weekend.

    C'mon increasenow, post your blotter every single day the market is open, whether you trade or not, and this thread could become legendary! You could be a legend!

    I think increasenow is the most entertaining character (caricature?) on ET since Bullz N Bearz. Now that he's actually trading instead of asking the same 20 questions every week, he has the potential to elevate his status even higher.

  7. TraDaToR

    TraDaToR

    I concur to that.

    At one time in this thread, when he was talking about Dax behaviour at dow open, I was afraid that he had begun to watch useful things, but things are coming back to normal with his daily instrument and method changes.

    Now that he has( finally after 1 year )solved his position sizing / instrument comparison problem( Ya know , trading 10 YM with less than 10 K on his account ), he will go straight where no trader has ever been.

  8. FRIDAY AUGUST 1, 2008---UPDATE:

    Hey guys...thanks for your posts/replies...all is cool...at least I have been honestly sharing my actual "evaluations" regarding which contracts to trade...you know, trial and error, learning, understanding etc....nothing wrong with that?...right...honestly...I am not joking here at all...Here is where I am at:

    #1--I want to perfect only 1 trade per day BUT that may take some time while actually trading (I do no paper trading or SIM trading...only real)

    #2-I've seemed to have "zoned" in on trading the:

    YM=like the 1 point spread

    DAX=like the .5 or 1.0 point spread and HUGE per point value

    CL=love the moves in one direction and HUGE point value

    ICE Brent Crude Oil=like the lower daytrade margin than CL...but hate the higher spread than CL

    #3-Love trading between 9:30-10:30am New York time...actually...love the most trading between 9:30am-10am New York time and done with it for the day...

    DO NOT LIKE TRADING:

    ES=cannot stand the huge FAT spread
    ER2=Er???...forget it...going to ICE
    NQ=boring...no point value and move
    Comex Gold=yea traded it as noted...but seems to have high spread and erratic moves
    QM(mini Crude Oil)=just can't stand the huge, huge spreads especially compared to CL or even ICE Brent Crude Oil...

    TRADE RECORDING BLOTTER ISSUES:

    You know...I do not know what I am going to do here...I honestly am not feeling comfortable even recording my winning days...it feels 'boastful' or you know...'talking about myself'...not like just talking about which contracts you are trading or thoughts about trading...that I feel fine with..

    We will see...please share your thoughts and trading insights...thanks!!!

  9. If you are not going to post your trades and results then this journal is a waste of time. I think everyone is interested in giving you helpful advice but not interested in hearing about YM vs DAX vs CL vs Brent. I mean really that is not important to trading success. So, it is up to you. This is your thread but if it is not going to contain blotter info it is not that interesting going forward.
