  1. Hi Traders,

I've always been curious to know which is more effective and which is preferred among traders. Personally, I like to journal my thought process during the day on paper/notebook and review my trades on my computer.

I would love to know your insights. Don't forget to cast your votes above!

    Thank you!

I rarely handwritten anything anymore. Consequently my hand writing is mostly unreadable...true story

    It doesn't matter.

anyway, I haven't written for years. So my handwriting is unreadable.

I don't keep journals but for notes, I often prefer handwriting. There's something else happening when forcing to write down things at a controlled speed vs. typing at 72 wpm.

I prefer to just open my own private discord section that I use to record my watchlist, trades & pnl etc.

Handwriting cannot record charts or copy and paste images for convenience.

  6. Do what you want to do. Learn how you want to learn. Be an independent, clean, clear, neutral, canvas slate to yourself.
Don't feel compelled to follow everyone else, do what they do.

That's why there are 99.2% of losers in the world. They are braindead, unoriginal, sheep zombies who needs someone to think for them and discover for them and tell them what to do, and how things should be done.

  7. Keep going. Almost every post of yours give me a good chuckle. Not sure if it's intentional or not. :)

  8. I used to journal extensively. Takes a lot of time. Time which I don't have. So, I stopped it. With time in short supply one have to be picky about where time is spent.

What I always do is to annotate my charts at EOD and archive them in a weekly folder. I have one main chart and a few supplemental charts per day. I review the entire week over the weekend, but then usually never look at them again.

I only keep it on my PC.

But I have always had the idea that it would be great to print these and have them in a physical folder for easy access and review.

I have a wall of 3-ringed binders filled, currently transitioning from paper to electronic via PKM's.

Lot's of great apps for computer now as PKM's, whether fad or durable, have been gaining traction.

They've been a game-changer for me since they are extremely customizable.

Primarily using Logseq and Notion atm.
