  2. ok, here we go..a so so day(really can't wait until I get some decent buying power)

Got into a (HC) long at 15.43. This was a chat room call that didn't develope and I escaped with a .02 gain..I'm still not comfy with NYSE ..when exiting I put in a mkt order and it took almost 2minutes to fill. However, chatroom does some really good listed trades, this just happened to not be one of them...when i get more $ I will learn more about the strategy and participate in more of those trades

second trade was a XLNX short...only 200 shares...it was the last of the buying power I had(which kept me from the chatroom play of the day)...but it worked out ok...i put notes on the attached chart
    Peace

  3. Notice how when you (anyone) pulls a good trade no one says
a word? Going over a bad trade is a lot funner trying to figure
    out what went wrong!

    :D

Is the chatroom you are hanging out in the one with
Praetorian2? Did they not cringe in horror when you
    traded a Naz stock?

    :p

  4. version-

yes, it's the one with pratorian2...but they don't cringe at the Nasdaq stocks...actually one or two other guys trade Nas in there too...
    Peace:D

  5. well no trades today
missed an early morning short setup in XLNX, but it was b4 10am, and even though many use the first 30minutes, i generally try to stay away because I need to be very selective

stocks i follow were choppy , range bound for a while...maybe a head of tomorrow's Greenie speach

zero trades = zero losses :D

  7. Thanks Comm!
Talk about a failed pattern! I think it was more my pattern recognition though...
missed a few other good trades later in the day...trying to hone my NYSE tape reading skills
thanks to all the guys in chat who are helping me see the was certain specialist work
    Here's today's trade...better than a loss.
    Peace:D

  8. these trades are kind of boring, but they've been working for now, and I guess I keep posting them to get any feedback (good and bad) and it helps me review my own work
and the reason its been a while since my last trade is because there weren't any...it's ok to go a day or two without making any trades...if the mkt is stalling or boring you can't force it, it's either there or it's not
    peace:D
I'm really thinking about going to an office...being home alone all day is good and bad...my girlfriends cat drives me nuts sometimes...any comments/suggestions welcome

    Miki

I like to see your posts, uptik, so keep them coming.

I visited #daytraders the other day and noticed nick like yours – was that you?

Anyway you are doing great! And thanks for the charts – it is always helpful to see somebody else’s way of thinking (other than my own).

  10. Thanks for your support Miki.

I don't go int o #daytraders that much...I know there is someone else with a similar nickname...when I'm there I use "uptik2000" i think the other guy is just 'uptick'
I spend most of my day in the ET chat...it's a small group with a lot less noise...and in that romm my nickname is "jreno43"

    Thanks again:cool:
