" 'No longer kill animals': Bill Gates, Richard Branson back 'clean meat' start-up " August 25 2017 http://www.theage.com.au/business/i...-back-clean-meat-startup-20170825-gy46c8.html Richard Branson, who has said he avoids beef because of the damage livestock does to the Amazonian rain forests, reckons one day all meat will "either be clean or plant-based". All meat will eventually be like cigarettes/smoking...frowned upon in society in the name of healthier options, We will be a green, healthy, renewable, technologically-advanced food species, Electric, clean cars...we will value our clean/pure bodies too, Maybe even our social and political values too for the greater good -- but that's kind of stretching it,
Depending on advancements in technology artificially-grown meat could become readily affordable even to low-income people one day. Though by "one day" I mean in about few decades, probably.
