Were you trading that day? It was like a 50 handle rip in the spoos on surprise rate cut around 8:30 am est. I recall it was a Friday. Market rallied for two months to all time highs followed by 18 months of the best trading imaginable. https://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/17/business/worldbusiness/17iht-fed.4.7159264.html
On/about August 7th, I was finally able to connect with my bank from some little coffee shop in Steamboat Springs, CO, to confirm that they had received the contents of a 403(b). I had maybe $16 to my name, while ostensibly on a Divide hike, but knew I thought the market had topped, and I was *hugely* scared that I would seek these funds, only to find them decimated. Made the connection, saw the good news, and ordered Grandé's all 'round. August 17th, I would've been in Indianapolis, maybe mowing the lawn. I don't think I was heavily trading until Spring-ish, 2008??? Learning everything I could about TWS, I can tell you. Shoot. In eleven years, nothing has changed.
