Obama did great on the Daily Show. Steward can rip a person to shreds(ask Jim Cramer),Obama did great.
Well as a Brit we had high hopes for Obama a couple of years back. But it's all over for him. His performance on the Daily Show was awful. Talk about Nixon moment. He looked out of his depth, as if the burdens of the job have really gotten to him. Stewart felt pity for him, you could see it in his eyes, in the way he skirted around difficult questions. It made things even worse because Obama looked even worse when he started his finger jabbing routine when Stewart was really on his side. Frankly, I have felt like Obama at times in my trading career, you know, verging on a nervous breakdown when you're in too deep on a position. That's usually the time to cut the position before you make things worse. Even Bush, despite all the idiotic mistakes of his two terms in office, never looked as if the pressure was getting too much for him. He always looked like he enjoyed the job, and the abuse he got was far worse. Maybe Obama is too nice a guy to deal with all shit that comes with being President. He's an academic, book writer, not a President.
Why, oh why, would liberal Jon Stewart rip Democratic President Obama the way he ripped CNBC's (and Wall Street personality) Jim Cramer? One is viewed as the enemy by the Stewart camp and represents everything they see as wrong with this country and one is considered "god-like". Stewart went soft on him and your argument to the contrary does not hold merit.
