On avarege how much should you lose on ex rates on a USD/CAD trade

I use a webservice like paypal and they allow me to convert my usd funds to cad losing 2% of my capital(1 conversion), which seems absurdly high. I would like to know how that compares to typical forex brokers. I think you lose something like 0.02% with oanda, Im not sure

 

RefcoFX charged me 100% to convert my Canadian dollars into USA dollars.

 

You cannot make a permanent conversion with Oanda. Deposit CAD you must withdraw CAD. Temporary conversion for trading purposes in a sub-account is ok.
