It's better to post an annotated chart with your questions. Sometimes there is a contextual reference that isn't communicated in the question that would make a difference in your answer.

In general, I agree with tiddlywinks with the following amendment.

FBO's and FTT's on the same fractal resolution are generally not the same bar. High Volatility bars can contain them. An example would be at RTL intersections of two opposing channels forming a Sym relationship with each other.

In a general sense, fbo's are only fbo's if they honor the original TL's established by pt1,2,3. If they fan or accelerate from this TL then they are new pt3's. Ftt's are also pt1's of two opposing channels to each other. One is ending, the other is beginning. The beginning one can stall and the original trend can continue with an fbo. Knowing that it's a continuation of a more mature trend is different than knowing it's the start of a new trend.

The reason they are different is that they are also finer distinctions of the development of a trend. pt1->pt2->pt3->ve->fbo->ftt is more informative than substituting the fbo's and ftt's with geometry point numbers.

  3. More newb questions, I've been reading spyder's archives but I have yet to find information on all of the volume sequences aside from x2x2y2x for BO and new trend and continuation of that trend through x2y2x2y2x2y etc. until ftt.

Where can I find the valid Gaussian sequences that can happen on a given fractal? Or is the above all there is? These threads are hundreds of pages long and although I've read Jack's channels pdf (Building wealth 2.2) and other hundreds of pages of the archives I haven't found the right source for it yet.

  4. Just for experiment on continuing with NQ daily from previous attempts. I'm failing to see 3 fractals.

I've been doing drills on ES 5 min charts and I find it difficult to see 3 fractals within. Volume Gaussians are particularly tough with IBGS and laterals. Going to finish some charts this week and post them.

NQ 2 min from opening bell.

    Level 1... green
    Level 2 ... yellow
    Level 3... blue

Annotated in isolation from open bar. IOW, started with no lines/levels, zero.

Tip... I wait for FRV (first rising volume, (from a trough)) before thinking beyond green.
Tip... Blue is CLEARLY incomplete. pt2 has not been made, based on gaussian. Level 3 (started from isolation) may or may not appear today. At time of posting it's looks like it will. :)

lol, no by all means that is not all there is. The volume sequences are further defined in Jack's RDBMS. You're not going to get the results you want by glossing over material. The most productive path is to do drills and post results. Concepts build on each other and unless you are diligent in assimilating those concepts with drills, you'll step over stuff that ultimately leads to confusion. MADA, although from the outside looks similar to OODA, is a real-time sensing methodology. It's based on logic and deduction that is calibrated through quite a number of concepts and associated displays of market data. MADA through annotating and logging builds sports memory that gets served up by the unconscious during specific moments during RTH. Reading won't change your perception, only doing drills will.

In Tiddlywinks' chart, tapes defined by two bar price cases are annotated. Two bars are the beginning of a tape. As price oscillates, two tapes build a Fast Fractal. You are skipping over annotating the FF's on your chart.

To add: A primary goal here is to build the capacity to perceive in real-time (Monitor), even better than what you now can see by hindsight. The annotations (Analyze) are meant to be bar-by-bar in real-time, even as each bar builds, and that is how the annotations are useful for trading, by providing context for trading decisions (Decide) and continuing executions (Act).

  8. I'm also doing drills as I read to test out the theory but as I do them I get confused and I start reading to see what I'm missing. Sort of a cycle lol.

I find that the fast fractal gets hard to annotate because it gets messy and I get lost in whether I should be fanning this tape or not. Will do more drills and post.

An early day for me as I have a meeting to attend.

This is an update to the previous 2 minute NQ showing how I annotate (in real-time) starting with nothing but price bars and volume with no previous gaussians or TL's.

Like Simples mentions, he has a goal. I too have a goal... I am working towards SCT using the level 3 containers/gaussians. Maybe not level 3, but wider/bigger containers in any case.

In this update, I have annotated the wider channel only.
I've kept the original annotations and used line widths and style to differentiate my iterations.
Of particular note is the highest volume of the day (so far) occurred at 8am pst. The gaussian is not synced properly following that occurance. If the RTL was accelerated it makes sense, but I don't see acceleration in volume. It may be a completed non-dom to dom sequence, with an entirely new container on the down continuance. I'll analyze much closer later. RTY is my primary trading instrument today, but the early morning NQ was pretty damn great!

As always, I will try to answer specific questions, if any.

    Good trading to all!

  10. Here is my attempt for ES yesterday. I did several more but they just feel too incomplete and I can probably do better. Any advice or critiques are welcome.

Also, I think I'm still missing the faster fractal but I just cannot make sense of the volume patterns there. It's like R2B2B2R2R2B2R2B2B2R2R or something like that. Level 3 also feels off like I need to redraw if EOD becomes FTT afterall.

I tried to treat laterals as one bar to help me get a better read. Not sure if I'm doing that right but it seems to make more sense.

Bars 0 to 6 I just didn't know what to do with. I guess they need to be continued from the day before? Bars 67 to 71 was kind of confusing too lol.

Still a long way to go.
